This magnificent vineyard estate located just 5 minutes from Cassis boasts 37.7 hectares of organic vineyard and 10 hectares of gardens, and offers a total of 3282 sqm of floor space in a chateau, houses, apartments and wine-making facilities. The “Appellation Cassis” concerns in total 215 hectares of vineyard, with an average production of 7500 hectolitres/annum. Each cultivation must contain 60% Marsanne and Clairette grape, the appellation’s two principal varieties. The chateau currently marketed is the principal producer of AOP Cassis. A 25-hectare limestone-clay plot is located near the chateau, while a second 12-hectare plot is in a magnificent unspoilt environment 10 minutes from the chateau. The 37.70 hectares of organic vineyard are in a very good state of maintenance, the vine is attached following the palissage method, and the plots are regularly renewed. The elegant chateau dates from 1700. Water comes from underground springs which feed a gallery from which the estate gets its name. In the same family since 1987, the domain allies terroir and tradition, as well as a respect for yesterday’s progress which allows for progress in the future. The estate’s numerous buildings include: 7 houses and 3 apartments. These are rented and bring in an income of 350000€/annum. The chateau offers 400 sqm of living space and is set in a delightful park boasting water features and statues. The wine cellar adopts the gravity-flow winery system and the capacity, mainly in stainless steel vats, is around 2600 hectolitres. These are thermoregulated, and relatively small in order to allow for selections from different parcels of land. The concrete vats, as well as barrique Bordelaises barrels, allow for the maturation of red wines. The warehouse also comprises a vast conference room and numerous annexes. 180000 bottles are marketed through the CHR (Café Hotels Restaurants) system (turnover 1.250M€). The vault turns over 300000€. Turnover has been increasing since 2014. The ensemble is juridically a single entity.
